Holland Park is an area of Kensington, in the west of London, that contains a street and public park of the same name. It is bounded by Kensington High Street to the south, Holland Road to the west, Holland Park Avenue to the north leading to Notting Hill, and Kensington Church Street to the east.
Tree-lined streets with large Victorian townhouses, make it for many the most elegant neighbourhoods in West London. With many shops, cultural tourist attractions such as the Design Museum, luxury spas, hotels, and restaurants, as well as the embassies of several countries. Notable nineteenth-century residential developments in the area include the street of Holland Park, the Royal Crescent and Aubrey House.
It is easy to see why this ‘Millionaire’s Row’ is home to many celebrities like the Beckhams, Simon Cowell, Elton John, Robbie Williams and of course Jimmy Page. His beautiful French Gothic ‘castle’, Tower House, was built by William Burges. The Led Zepellin guitarist and producer outbid David Bowie to purchase it from Richard Harris in 1972. The area attracts many wealthy international residents.

It has a giant chess set, a cricket pitch, tennis courts, two Japanese gardens – the Kyoto Garden (1991) and Fukushima Memorial Garden (2012), a youth hostel, a children’s playground, squirrels and peacocks. Eat out in the Belvedere Restaurant set in the centre of the park.
