July’s Summer Social Events Calendar

Ready for a scorcher? Well, we do mean this superb summer line-up of events. Not the unpredictable British summer weather, of course. As well as tennis, July also hosts the British Grand Prix and The Open – Great British events at their best! Summer also means loads of festivals, alfresco dining, fine wine and champagne.

27th June – 1st July: Boodles Tennis
An opportunity to relax in the warm summer sunshine whilst watching some of the world’s best tennis players as they build up to Wimbledon. Stoke Park near Farnham boasts sumptuous green lawns, and offers a unique opportunity to get close to the elite of the tennis world.

30th June – 9th July: Barclaycard’s British SummerTime
Located in the heart of London – Hyde Park hosts “Barclaycard’s British Summer Time” with appearances from Justin Bieber, Anne-Marie, Martin Garrix and many, many more internationally renowned artists. Pop up bars will be sprinkled around the park during this open house event from the 3rd to the 7th of July. At the “Free” Open House there will also be the largest outdoor cinema and if you’re lucky you could take part in the breaking of a Guinness World Record on the 5th of July!! Be a part of the 9 days where hundreds of thousands of visitors flock to this major world-class event.

14th July – 16th July; British Grand Prix
This year’s British Grand Prix is going to be adrenaline-pumping, heart-thumping and ear-bursting, with racers from around the world and their sleek, lightweight, origami cars. Thrills and spills around every corner of Silverstone’s 5.9 km circuit which has held this Grand Prix 71 times. All the biggest names in racing will be there to try to claim the title but only one will win on the day. Rub shoulders with the elite of world motorsport and let iChauffeur’s transport and event managers organise the logistics for your corporate day out. We can also provide onsite coordinators, hostesses and a meet & greet service for your VIP’s.

16th July – 23rd July: The Open
The 146th Open at Royal Birkdale will unite millions across the globe in their passion for golf – just as it has done many times in the past 150 years. However, the prize has changed somewhat since 1860, when the winner would receive a red leather Moroccan belt worth £25. Now the winner will receive The Golf Champion Trophy, more commonly known as The Claret Jug and £6.5 million in prize money! Golf lovers from all over the planet will tune in to watch some of the most prestigious names in the sport to battle it out for the title. Just remember if somebody yells,’Fore!’, it is not the number of drinks they would like from the bar, just get down and cover your head! iChauffeur operate in Merseyside, north of Liverpool and Manchester. 27th June – 23rd July: Jaeger-LeCoultre Gold Cup
The smell of horses, fresh hay and the calm atmosphere of this very British sport. The Jaeger-LeCoultre Gold Cup is very important in british polo as it decides who plays in the British Open Polo Championship. Wear your smart suits and sophisticated dresses for lunch in the sun with intense polo games and crisp champagne. Held at Cowdray Park Polo Club every year, watchmaker, Jaeger-LeCoultre sponsors the competition. Arrive with class with your party in the V-Class Mercedes.

28th July – 30th July: The Game Fair
Fieldsports, shooting, land management and plenty of food; The Game Fair is at Hatfield House for the first time ever. This two day event is all about things to do outside in the English countryside: fishing, shooting, archery and much, much more! Food stands and stalls for shopping big brands such as, APB Trading and Can-am. Partake in the fun outdoor activities like camping, off-road driving and learn new skills in gundog handling or falconry. After a long day of outdoor sports in the sun, let your team be driven home in the soft leather comfort of iChauffeur’s luxury minibuses.

29th July – 5th August: Cowes Week
One of the world’s biggest and longest running regattas, alongside The Americas Cup and The Sydney to Hobart, means that Cowes Week has up to 1,000 boats racing and 8,000 competitors from weekend sailors to Olympic and world-class professionals. Since 1826, competitors have been aching to get out onto the water and feel the sea spray as their boat cuts the water with the power of the wind behind them. However, at Cowes Week racing isn’t the only thing you can do. There is a vibrant thrum of festival-like atmosphere which entices 100,000 visitors every year. So get your wind-breaker jacket on and get ready to cheer for the brave racers ready to tackle the cold ocean!
