How do Hybrid cars work?

The main difference with Hybrids is the fact that they use battery power as well as fossil fuel to propel the car. This makes the Hybrid more environmentally friendly than the classic petrol engine. Hybrid cars are generally built lighter and are more aerodynamic than the normal petrol car. Tyres are also inflated higher to reduce drag. The battery is used to provide extra acceleration and power when needed but also it can shut down its engines when power is not required. Hybrid vehicles can also take advantage of the energy created by breaking which is sometimes used to charge the batteries. Eco Chauffeur are currently talking to the car manufacturers that currently have Hybrids on the market to see which cars will suit the enviroment and their customers best.
