Donington Park park is a motorsport circuit, with a distinguished and proud history. Opened in 1931, Donington quickly became one of Britain's most popular motor racing circuits. In 1993 Donington staged the European Formula One Grand Prix, which was memorably won by Ayrton Senna in rain-swept conditions. Today, Donington is the home of the British Motorcycle Grand Prix (MotoGP) and hosts rounds of the British Touring Car Championship, British Formula 3 Championship, British GT Championship, Le Mans Series, and British Superbike Championship.

Grand Prix Exhibition
Donington Park is home to the largest collection of Grand Prix cars in the world. In five halls, and with with over 130 exhibits this is a remarkable collection of motorsport memorabilia. Cars include examples driven by such famous names as Nuvolari, Mansell, Prost, Moss, Senna, Fangio, Clark and Stewart. The Collection also features the World's largest collection of Driver's Helmets.
This remarkable collection is made even more remarkable when you realise that it was largely put together by one man - Tom Wheatcroft. Mr Wheatcroft was present at the Donington Grands Prix of 1937 and 1938, and in early 70's he bought the circuit, and returned it to racing after it's hiatus during which it was a military base.
