Remembrance Day is held on the anniversary of the end of the hostilities of the First World War, the 11th of November 1918.
Remembrance Sunday
Remembrance Sunday is the second Sunday of November, the Sunday closest to the 11th of November (Remembrance Day). At 11am a two minute silence is observed throughout the country. The Royal Family, along with politicians, religious leaders and military services gather at The Cenotaph in Whitehall, London for a remembrance service.
