The RBS 6 Nations 2011 tournament takes on extra significance with the 2011 World Cup just months away and David Pickering, Chairman of the Six Nations Council, said: “The RBS 6 Nations Championship remains the envy of the rugby world, a tournament played with pride and passion and drenched in history and tradition”.

France were crowned Grand Slam winners at the 2010 6 Nations competition.

The 2010 6 Nations Championship will celebrate the centenary of the first championship between the five original members. The 2010 RBS 6 Nations Championship will kick-off in Dublin on Saturday, 6 February 2010, when Ireland meet Italy and conclude in Paris on Saturday, 20 March 2010, when France meet England.

Ireland were crowned Grand Slam winners for the first time in 61 years at the 2009 6 Nations competition.

Wembley Stadium has hosted many Great British Events over it’s illustrious history. 2009 looks like being another great year at Wembley. The newly renovated stadium will be holding the following events in 2009. Including the FA Cup Final and music concerts from AC/DC, Oasis, Take That and Coldplay.

The 2009 RBS 6 Nations championship will begin at newly developed Twickenham Stadium when England meet Italy on Saturday 7th February 2009 and end on Saturday 21st March with Wales vs Ireland at the Millenium Stadium.
