The Proms 2010

The Proms at the Royal Albert Hall

The 2010 Proms Season

16th July to 11th September 2010

Locations: Royal Albert Hall, The Royal College of Music, Cadogan Hall, and the Proms in the Park events in Hyde Park, Hillsborough, Swansea, Salford and Dundee.

Now in its 116th year, the 2010 Proms or "Promenade Concerts" have become a British institution and are most definitely a Great British Event.

From the first concert of 1895 Robert Newman’s vision to ‘…run nightly concerts to train the public in easy stages… popular at first, gradually raising the standard until I have created a public for classical and modern music.’ The event traditionally culminates in the Last Night of the Proms which mixes classical music with a very patriotic and enthusiastic audience!
