18-19-20 September 2009

The Goodwood Revival is the world’s most popular historic motor race meeting, set back in time to recreate the golden era of motor sport, in the fifties and sixties. For three days in September some of the most breathtakingly beautiful racing cars and bikes will be fuelled up to compete against each other, driven to their limit by some of the best drivers to ever grace a race circuit. Champions like Sir Stirling Moss, John Surtees, Sir Jack Brabham, Phil Hill, Derek Bell, David Coulthard, Damon Hill, Gerhard Berger, Johnny Herbert, Wayne Gardner, Giacomo Agostini and the late, great Barry Sheene have all competed at the celebrated Goodwood motor sport circuit. Launching there machines into the corners with as much aggression as they would have done in their racing heyday.

No other motor sport event quite matches this unique Goodwood fixture, a fabulous motor sport event which is not to be missed, and is a wonderful way to celebrate some fabulous men, women and the gorgeous motor cars and bikes.

Goodwood Revival 2008

19,20,21 September 2008

The Goodwood Estate

2008 marks the 10th anniversary of the inaugural Goodwood Revival. First held in 1998, the event was envisioned by the Earl of March, to celebrate the illustrious history of motorsport at Goodwood. The Goodwood Motor Circuit was developed by the the grandfather of the Earl of March, the Duke of Richmond. In it’s heyday between 1948 and 1966 the circuit stood alongside Silverstone and held Grand Prix and many other major racing events.

The Revival seeks to recreate the golden years of motorsport, with classic open wheel and historic racing with all the glamour and style of this flamboyant era. In it’s first decade the Goodwood Revival has become a favourite event for anybody with an interest in both fashion and horsepower. A great day out for all the family, and most certainly a Great British Event.
