Chelsea and Portsmouth have a hundred year old history competing in the FA Cup. They last met in the sixth round in 1997, when Chelsea won and went on to lift The Cup. In 1929 Portsmouth beat Chelsea in the fifth round and went on reach The Final. Chelsea have appeared in nine Finals, Portsmouth in four. Chelsea won the 2009 FA Cup when they beat Everton in the final.

Both teams will be fighting for this elusive football trophy and the £1,800,000 prize fund, the runner-up will receive £900,000. This season’s FA Cup Final will be officiated by referee Chris Foy.
