Wimbledon Tennis Championships 2009

22nd June to 5th July 2009

Venue: The All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, Wimbledon, London SW19 5AE

For two weeks in June and Julay, Wimbledon will have the world’s media focused on SW19. The only Grand Slam event currently played on a grass surface, this year will be the first with a retractable roof over Centre Court. Which will make sure that rain will not stop play this year and probably put a stop to Sir Cliff’s singing in the rain.
