A great time to get on your bike

With the amazing British cycling achievements in the Beijing from Sir Chris Hoy, Bradley Wiggins CBE, Victoria Pendleton, Rebecca Romero and the other medal winners from the GB Olympic team. Couple this with achievements of British cyclists in the 2009 Tour de France. 4th place in the GC for Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish, the undisputed fastest sprinter in the world.

Work is already underway on the London 2012 Velodrome, which is being designed to be the fastest track ever made. Cycling has become the second fastest growing sport in Britain. You might think that British cycling is having a bit of a renaissance at the moment. Transport for London think so, they also say that there has been a 91% increase in the number of cyclists on London’s roads since 2000, an estimated half-a-million cycle journeys every day in the capital.
