The Goodwood Estate
2008 marks the 10th anniversary of the inaugural Goodwood Revival. First held in 1998, the event was envisioned by the Earl of March, to celebrate the illustrious history of motorsport at Goodwood. The Goodwood Motor Circuit was developed by the the grandfather of the Earl of March, the Duke of Richmond. In it’s heyday between 1948 and 1966 the circuit stood alongside Silverstone and held Grand Prix and many other major racing events.
The Revival seeks to recreate the golden years of motorsport, with classic open wheel and historic racing with all the glamour and style of this flamboyant era. In it’s first decade the Goodwood Revival has become a favourite event for anybody with an interest in both fashion and horsepower. A great day out for all the family, and most certainly a Great British Event.
