The Edinburgh Festival is one of the highlights of the Scottish events calendar, and a Great British Event! From August 13th to September 3rd 2006, Edinburgh will be the place to be for classical music, theatre, opera and dance. Major theatres, concert halls and a number of smaller venues will be ignited with the best from the art world.

Running along side the Edinburgh Festival is the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the world’s largest arts festival. Featured in the internationally acclaimed 2004 movie ‘Festival’, In 2005 more than 735 groups participated putting on 1,800 different shows with a total of 26,995 performances in 247 venues and now is approaching it’s 60th year. Anyone can perform at the Fringe as it’s an open arts festival, and it draws some of the finest comedians, artists and groups from around the world.
