The criss-cross mesh grill is a distinctive Bentley feature.
It was not part of the original Bentley design though, but developed by John Duff as a guard against stones and other debris damaging the radiator while racing.
The Bentley racing heritage is apparent in every Bentley, but particularly prevalent in the Bentley Continental Flying Spur and it's 2 door sibling, the Continental GT. Both cars feature the incredible 6 litre W12 engine which produces 650 Newton metres of torque at 1650 rpm. This torque is very characteristic of the Bentley marque and makes it an extremely smooth chauffeur driven car.
